Album Release for You Me At Six

The anticipated new album from You Me At Six dropped on February 10th. After pushing back the initial January 27th release due to manufacturing issues with vinyl record production, the emo/pop-rock group kept fans on their toes by releasing singles from the album to build anticipation. Singles released include “DEEP CUTS,” “Mixed Emotions,” and “No Future? Yeah Right” feat. Rou Reynolds of Enter Shikari, “heartLESS,” “:mydopamine:” and the latest drop from the quintet, “God Bless The 90s Kids.”

Truth Decay is an honest depiction of my equilibrium and I.” … “We drew on inspiration from not only our peers in the period of 2006-2012, but also our own records from then as well.
— When speaking of the album, vocalist Josh Franceschi adds

You Me At Six comprises singer Josh Franceschi, guitarists Max Helyer and Chris Miller, bassist Matt Barnes, and drummer Dan Flint. The quintet has reached global success in the emo community dating over 15 years and has held the top album spot twice in the UK. However, the latest installment in their musical franchise draws the group back to the beginning and paves the way for what fans can expect from the group moving forward.

We began to look back on all the things that made us want to be in a band in the first place and we wanted to make an album that came slightly easier to us. On previous albums, we’d been in the pursuit of a challenge but this time around it was simple if a song didn’t make us jump round the room, we weren’t using it.

Trying to find the good in bad moments. I think music should make you feel like it was written specifically for you. Ultimately, that’s when a song really connects. When it hits you in feels but sparks a sense of euphoria also.
— Franceschi shared
