Long Island-based alternative-punk band Bad Mary have released Better(er) Days EP today, a collection of re-recorded and remixed versions of songs from their first album Better Days, in celebration of its 10th anniversary. This EP is full of fun and great tracks to headbang to and play on repeat. The re-recorded tracks aged well with the band and they make sure to not disappoint.

The video for the song, “I Don’t Know Where The Line Is” was directed by guitarist David Henderson, he shares,

“I liked the original video for the song - it was one of the first the band ever shot - and as this was a re-release, I wanted to do a kind of throw-back to that first video. So, the old video is cut into the new video”.

“They have always done this type of street-infused, wise-assed, belligerent music so much better than most of the competition, and this latest single perfectly harnesses their big, brash, bold, and bombastic sound, neatly blending a sense of sucker-punch theatrics with snotty gutter rock into a glam-trash tune without equal.”

In addition to Henderson on guitar, the band is comprised of Mike Staub (bass/vocals), Amanda Mac (vocals), Bill Mac (drums). Staub shares, "For Better(er) Days, we wanted to revisit some of our favorites from our first record and rerecord them to celebrate the album's 10th anniversary. We love those songs, and so many of them are still in our live sets, but we wanted to have versions of those songs that matched the recording and production on our later stuff. We think it's a fun way to celebrate the album, and we hope you like these new versions." Better(er) Days was engineered, mixed, and mastered by David Henderson.

“They live outside of the conventional. They do whatever they want. Bad Mary’s music is a combination of glamour, wit, and punk rock. Envision Liza Minnelli as a punk rocker.”

Their music has garnered airplay on SiriusXM’s Underground Garage, with the song “It’s All Trash” receiving the New Music Spotlight and both “It’s All Trash” and the song “Vibe-icide” earning the title of Coolest Song In The World in 2023. Additionally, the song "Better Days" was recently selected for both the New Music Spotlight and Coolest Song In The World.

“Bad Mary just seems to constantly provide an endless stream of entertaining content. They’re an incredible band, and it looks like they just have so much fun with everything they do… Sometimes you just want to skip the nonsense to get straight into the rock”

– Folk N Rock.

Taking the DIY path, Bad Mary released their first album, Better Days, in 2014 and followed it up with three fast and loud EPs: Killing Dinosaurs (2016), We Could Have Saved the World (2016), and Glitter Bomb (2017). In 2019, they delivered The Return of Space Girl, a 33-minute punk rock space opera, followed by an award-winning animated movie of the album. Diving into 2022, Bad Mary brought their distinctive fun-filled sound to the masses with the release of Rock and Roll Classics Vol. 6 and Vol. 7. An EP of all-new material, Trash And Glamour, was released in 2023.
