Boundaries Release “Scars On A Soul” + Tour Begins May 8th
Boundaries’ new album Death Is Little More is on the horizon and the Hartford-based metalcore quintet gives fans one more taste of the new album before its release with “Scars On A Soul” along with an accompanying music video.
The music video, directed by Errick Easterday, was shot in the style of a classic black and white movie and is a performance video of the band playing the song, accompanied by scenes of a woman sitting at a desk typing the song’s lyrics on a typewriter.
“’Scars On A Soul’ is a song about the responsibility of the individual to break the cycle of ‘good enough’ and push through what they fear the most. Live in that fear and take away its power to define you. You owe it to yourself to be the best you can be, and more importantly, you owe it to everyone around you. Don’t allow strangers to impose a ceiling on you.”
- Vocalist Matthew McDougal on the song’s theme.
Death Is Little More was produced, mixed, and mastered by longtime collaborator Randy LeBoeuf who has worked with previous acts such as Gideon, The Acacia Strain, and Kublai Khan TX. The album also includes several guest appearances including Matt Honeycutt (Kublai Khan TX), Lochie Keogh (Alpha Wolf), and Marcus Vik (Invent Animate).
The band is gearing it up for its first ever US headlining tour in support of Death Is Little More this spring. The tour is set to commence on May 8th in Cambridge, Massachusetts and will conclude on June 8th in the band’s hometown of Hartford, Connecticut with Orthodox, Kaonashi, and No Cure supporting.
