Filth Release Title Track Off New Album "Southern Hostility" + Tour
Shelby, North Carolina’s hip hop meets deathcore influenced band Filth have dropped their title track off their soon to be released new album Southern Hostility available everywhere on April 5th.
Formed in 2015 as a side project for guitarist David Gantt and vocalist Dustin Mitchell, Filth quickly took on a life of its own, with the purpose of spreading soul-smothering brutality to the hearts and heads of heavy music enthusiasts around the country. They popped off with the release of their debut EP, Tales from the Gutter, and morphed into a ball of mud rolling down a steep hill of grime — picking up mass and speed with each passing moment and with every subsequent breakdown.
The group has taken many stages to serve as regional support for heavy hitters, such as Brand of Sacrifice, Kingdom of Giants, and Chelsea Grin before embarking on multiple headlining and support tours, across the United States, Canada, and the UK. The band has opened for everyone from Hatebreed, to Terror, to Lorna Shore, to The Acacia Strain, to Slaughter to Prevail. With a stretch of head-turning live performances and a critically acclaimed display of hyper-dissonant heaviness laced with urban grooves, the band is set to release its best material yet in Spring 2024 with Album Title. Add an intense work ethic and a desire to scratch and claw its way to the top, and 2024 will be the year of Filth. Roll up your sleeves and get ready to get dirty.
Filth are touring through 2024. All currently confirmed dates are below.
