Ghost Hounds Share Official Music Video for "Long Ride Home" Feat. Patty Griffin
Fast rising blues fused country septet band Ghost Hounds recently released their brand new single and music video Long Ride Home featuring Patty Griffin. This single an emotional track for those who have lost someone very close to them and the blend of both vocalists SAVNT and Patty Griffin was so perfectly matched to express sadness and looking forward to seeing the person you love once again. This is also an incredibly stunning take on Patty Griffin’s original song of the same name.
“Long Ride Home” is one of those songs that evokes imagery — you can literally visualize the story unfolding in your mind as you listen. So when it came to the video we were looking for a simple story to compliment the lyrics Patty Griffin wrote, something subtle but impactful. The story in our video (Directed by Jay Arcansalin) is of an older newly widowed person leaving the burial for his long-time love. And on that ride home, he’s reflecting on the relationship. The good times. The bad and sad times. What he should’ve said but didn’t. How he could’ve said things differently. And you feel his pain in that he’s going home to an empty house where all those memories were made. It’s a really beautiful piece. And our actor, Donald Jackson, did a great job taking you on the roller coaster of emotions with him.”
