GHOUL Unleashes “Ratlicker”

Ghoul, the shock rockers from the mysterious land of Creepsylvania, have let loose into the world a lyric video for “Ratlicker.” The video includes live concert footage that gives viewers a taste of the metal madness that Ghoul unleashes onto audiences.

Cremator, the bass player for Ghoul, didn’t hold back in describing the chaos that is typical of their live performances.

“We're so pleased to present this live lyric video so people can finally understand our cacophonous caterwauling and also know what kind of slaughter they are in for when they attend our shows,” said Cremator. “We salute the many brave camera people who gave their lives to this project and their flesh to our dinner plate.”

“Ratlicker” is off the EP, Noxious Concoctions released last month via Tankcrimes. The album has earned Ghoul various spots on Billboard charts. Within the first week, Ghoul was #2 on the Current Hard Music chart, #5 on the Top New Artist chart, #19 on the Independent Record Label chart, and #20 on the Current Rock Albums chart.

According to the band, most of the tracks on Noxious Concoctions were “digested, dissected, fermented, and cremated by the members of Ghoul.” The lone exception is “1-900-DTH-LINE,” which was composed by Funerot. Noxious Concoctions was recorded at Antisleep Audio and Sharkbite Studios by Scott Evans. The EP was mastered by Dan Randall at Mammoth Sound Mastering. The Moron Cavern Shackled Choir provided “gang vocals” and Laurie Sue Shanaman lent “swamp hag” vocals to the recording.

If the “Ratlicker” video has aroused a morbid curiosity within you on what a Ghoul live show is like, then you have your chance to experience it throughout March. Ghoul is currently on the Brainsqueeze Tour supporting Municipal Waste. Also on the bill are Tankcrimes labelmates Necro and Dead Heat.
