September 28th, 2023 - Away from their most recent announcement that their debut album, Realms, would be released on vinyl for the first time on Oct. 20 through Wax Bodega, the Phoenix-based post-rock band Holy Fawn have released a re-imagined version of one of the tracks from the EP, titled "Glóandi (2023)"

The song has a yearning, flickering slab of post-metal, backed up by waves of shoegaze guitars and crunching drums, adding a layer of elegance to the music. Holy Fawn has come a long way since the release of Realms back in 2015 and this reimagined version is a perfect mix of their current style while still remaining faithful to its original release.

’Glóandi’ was the first single we released as a band. With Realms finally getting a vinyl treatment we wanted to do something special for our day one listeners. The song has been re-recorded from the ground up, with new synths, percussion, etc., so it is more on par with our current sound/production style, while still honoring the original material and atmosphere.
— Ryan Osterman on "Glóandi (2023)"

The song was released just in time for the band’s month-long US headlining tour which began on 10/2 in Austin, TX and will conclude on 10/27 right on their home turf in Phoenix, AZ. Direct support comes from the likes of Caracara and Lowheaven. See the dates below.

Realms vinyl pre-orders are available now via Wax Bodega: http://lnk.to/hfrealms.

Realms tracklist:

1.    Can We Lie Here?

2.    Colossus

3.    Amulet

4.    Foal

5.    Glóandi

6.    Lo

Formed in 2015 in Phoenix, Arizona, Holy Fawn have been described as shoegaze but have incorporated elements of black metal, doom metal, and post-rock, thus creating a sound that makes Holy Fawn a band that's “impossible to ignore”. Paste Magazine noted that they “hold the sublime and the saturnine in equal reverence,” and Revolver said with Dimensional Bleed, the foursome reached “…a high-water mark for music that combines the skyscraping atmospheres of post-rock with the heavy breadth of textured metal.” The band have released two albums: Dimensional Bleed (2022), Death Spells (2018), as well as a pair of EPs: The Black Moon (2020) and Realms (2015). The meaning behind the band’s name is to evoke "the sacredness of nature and the presence of psychic connections/extra dimensional realms outside of us and within us".

HOLY FAWN IS:

Ryan Osterman - vocals/guitar

Evan Phelps - guitar

Austin Reinholz - drums
