Ice Nine Kills Brings Their Horrorwood Saga to Tasteful End with the Premiere of ‘Meat & Greet: The Welcome to the Horrorwood Finale
Ice Nine Kills are known for the tactfulness of weaving horror themes into not only their music but their stage presence, albums, promotions and their music videos. Getting their start all the way back in 2000, lead vocalist Spencer Charnas formed the band under ‘Ice Nine’ and originally took on a more Ska-pop punk vibe for the band before the band became Ice Nine Kills and took the more metalcore theatrics that we all know and love.
Known for their success of The Silver Scream, that graced air waves 5 years ago, Ice Nine Kills have been riding a wave that keeps bringing them higher and higher and the band did not take it for granted. Over the past few years, the band has been hard at work putting together a series of eight music videos that piece together to form one movie that encapsulates the bands hard work since the release of The Silver Scream:
Meat & Greet: The Welcome to the Horrorwood Finale
The live event of the premiere took place in Hollywood at the Montalban Theatre which was hosted by Spencer himself and legendary entertainment journalist, Ryan J Donwey. Spencer had this to say about the premiere of the finale, “After two years and eight music videos, we’re ready to bring the ‘Welcome To Horrorwood’ saga to a shocking and tasteful climax with the premiere of ‘Meat & Greet’. This event will be an immersive multimedia experience celebrating the entire blood-soaked era of ‘The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood’. It will surely be a night to dismember…”!
Meat & Greet will also herald the imminent release of the band’s most intricate and detail-oriented release yet, Welcome To Horrorwood Under Fire, a 3LP Deluxe Edition of Chart-Topping Album The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood. The release will land on October 20th via Fearless Records and will feature the original album, now with the addition of Meat & Greet, two reimagined tracks and a limited edition, wearable Silence mask, all encased in a super limited and highly collectible flame-engulfed box set. Pre-orders are available HERE.
In a recent release, the band put out the conclusion for their series in the form of aptly named ‘Meat & Greet’ which depicts a retelling of the classic horror thriller, Silence of the Lambs. This being the finale piece to their long running series which they had been teasing since their set at the When We Were Young fest in October of 2022.
