Kat Von D has announced the release of her latest album, My Side of the Mountain. The album takes its name from the famous children’s adventure novel by Jean George. On the album, Kat Von D explores the personal themes that have been part of her journey to sobriety. The songs speak of Kat Von D finding love, focusing on her family, and finally finding peace.

My Side of the Mountain is Kat Von D’s second studio album. She impressed critics and fans with her debut album, Love Made Me Do It. She continued to impress with the Exorcisms EP. Kat Von D has proven to be a serious and resolute singer and songwriter. Her recent singles “Truth in Reverse,” “Illusion,” "Dead," and "Vampire Love" are off My Side of the Mountain, and they show that Kat Von D's musical career continues to evolve as she becomes a more seasoned artist.

Kat Von D is a true Renaissance woman. She first made a name for herself as a tattoo artist who was in demand by the hottest rock stars. After parlaying her artistic career into a reality show, Kat Von D became a celebrity in her own right. Her keen business acumen led her to find a successful make-up company. Having always been a music fan who took inspiration from her favorite artist, Kat Von D set her sights on a musical career. Way beyond a vanity project by a reality show star, the music of Kat Von D has been taken seriously by rock journalists at Billboard, US Weekly, Loudwire, Consequence, Flaunt Magazine, and Revolver Magazine.

The music on My Side of the Mountain is a mesmerizing blend of goth, post-punk, and synth wave. Influenced by the 80s electronic music she grew up with, Kat Von D plays what can be considered disco goth. With a fascination with the dark side of life, Kat Von D’s lyrics delve into subjects that lie between the macabre and the beautiful.

Kat Von D has always enjoyed collaboration with artists she highly respects and My Side of the Mountain is no exception. My Side of the Mountain features guest vocals from Arch Enemy frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz and singer/songwriter Ferras.

In late October Kat Von D will embark on a tour. The first two shows will feature her husband Rafael Reyes’s cholo goth project Prayers. The tour will hit a dozen cities and tickets are on sale now.

My Side of the Mountain is available now on all streaming platforms. Physical copies of My Side of the Mountain are also available in vinyl, CD, and cassette formats.
