Kublai Khan TX Release New Album, “Exhibition Of Prowess”

Texan titans Kublai Khan TX have released their new album 'Exhibition Of Prowess' (via Rise Records), the band's fifth album and first full-length since 2019's 'Absolute'. In celebration of the release, the quartet dropped the official visualizer for their track "Mud" taken from the album.

Speaking about the track, vocalist Matt Hunnycutt commented:

"'Mud' is the scissors slowly closing in on the final thread keeping sanity intact. Entrenched and trapped with nowhere to go but deeper underground. Reflections and thoughts mirroring a man’s will to survive in a world obsessed with extinction. Low-tech, primordial soundwaves. Sludge-covered, sun-blistered frequencies of war and peace. "Mud" is mankind."

Kublai Khan TX had their humble beginnings in the summer of 2009 and released this first EP in 2010, the metalcore group have kept up with the heartbeat of the metalcore genre alive ever since.

My love for concert photography came from my scrolling on tumblr in my high school years, growing more after attending Warped Tour in 2012. Earning my associates degree in the arts from Cochise College in 2017, I started hunting for my next goal. I began my photojournalism journey in 2019 after working for my local newspaper taking shots of anyone and anything. I have a background of short documentaries, video interviewing and editorial shots. My friends tell me I have a plethora of band/music knowledge that I now hope to put to good use.
