LANDMVRKS Are Back & Unleash the “Creature” with New Video
Hailing from Marsellie, France, LANDMVRKS have made themselves well established in the United States metalcore scene. Taking a year off of releasing music to embark on a United States tour co-headlined by fellow metalcore bands Fit for a King and The Devil Wears Prada, the band just released what they are confidently calling their “best ever result”. Not only releasing their new song “Creature” on Arising Empire, LANDMVRKS released a music video that resembles a cinematic masterpiece, directed by Pavel Trebukhin in collaboration with Le Turk. Trebukhin is well known for his work with bands such as Trivium and Imminence, and wanted to bring what he referred to as a Stranger Things ambiance to the music video to highlight the bands explosive energy.
“Creature” is an important release for the band, not only is it an experience that encapsulates the essence of the band’s evolution and their relentless pursuit of musical excellence, the single is a testament to their commitment to pushing boundaries and delivering a unique and immersive experience to their fans.
LANDMVRKS commented:
“Creature is the first single from LANDMVRKS’ new chapter, which explores the fears we bury deep inside ourselves instead of exploring and facing up to them… They end up resurfacing even stronger. The creature taking possession of the body is a metaphor for this.”
Formed in 2016, LANDMVRKS released their first album, Hollow, produced entirely by vocalist Florent Salfati and guitarist Nicolas Exposito. This album was an independent release, and reached such success that they were able to embark on a European tour, and even book major festivals. Come 2018, LANDMVRKS signed to Arising Empire, and released their second studio album, Fantasy, an album that truly defined the bands unique style. Their third studio album, Lost In The Wave, came from years of working on material through lockdown. Ensuring they kept their unique rapping style, this album takes the listener through many highs and lows and illustrates the bands ability to maintain a metalcore tone while staying true to Salfati’s love for rap culture.
