Lorna Shore Rocks Sold-Out Show in Brooklyn, NY
The night of August 14th, 2021, Lorna Shore, The Last 10 Seconds of Life, Left to Suffer; and New Jersey's best Black Lotus came to play a sold-out show at The Kingsland in Brooklyn, New York!
The energy was electric from lining up to pilling in through the doors. To start a night with over a hundred people it was bound to be a show of rekindled bliss and aggression. As Black Lotus took the stage, everyone poured into the pit, and smiles turned to sinister intentions. We all have been missing shows so to be with friends again brought me so much bliss. The first note hit and it was game time.
While the band was performing, you could feel the roar of the crowd just as you felt the reverb coming from the speakers. Bodies collided and the music in the room clashed, it was so refreshing to be back enjoying what makes us feel safe and alive.
The following band hailing from Georgia, Left To Suffer made their way to the throne. The room began to pile in more people and it became hotter than a raging inferno. The loathe and anger we felt in this depression called Covid-19, we all pushed through and enjoyed the talent of Left to Suffer. In the middle of their set (as some who don't know, The Kingsland is notorious for their middle pole in the pit) the breakdown hits. I saw bodies rushing to the stage to acquire a mic to join the screams and joy that Taylor Barber (vocalist of Left to Suffer) brought to the stage.
Amidst people in euphoria to find a break while getting some air, The Last Ten Seconds of Life took the stage, and thus the rush began once more! As guitars were being strummed, basses being plucked, drums being hit and vocals being dominated, we knew not to mess with them! The room was now at full capacity and you could see the smiles on everyone's face just knowing we were back! Before I could bat an eye, the inferno himself, Will Ramos took to the stage followed by his band Lorna Shore. The room was raging with everyone moshing and headbanging enjoying themselves. The show was surely a night to remember!
