Loss Of Signal Release ‘Audible Trauma’

Pop-punk band Loss Of Signal is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland but you would be forgiven if you thought they came straight out of Southern California. Loss Of  Signal has a style that is very much influenced by the pop-punk bands of the 90s and early 2000s. Fans of bands such as Blink-182, Sum 41, and New Found Glory will gravitate towards Loss Of Signal whose sound, while reminiscent of earlier pop-punk, also throws in newer influences as well.

In 2019 Loss Of Signal released the EP Could Do Better featuring the songs “You,” “Underdogs,” and “Aftermath.” Original band members Darlo and Ash (both guitarists) were soon joined by new drummer Graham. This newer incarnation of Loss Of Signal has teased fans by releasing a series of singles the last two years including “Break Out,” “Go,” and “Home.” This month Loss Of Signal finally announced the release of a full-length album titled Audible Trauma.

Audible Trauma collects these songs in remastered versions while including six new original songs. Lyrically the tracks range from personal songs concerning the beginning and end of meaningful relationships to more politically conscious songs dealing with social justice.

New songs on Audible Trauma include the track “Grown Ups” which mixes the signature pop-punk sound of Loss Of Signal with newer rock stylings. The song “How Long” goes back to the classic southern California sound of the early singles. “Homewrecker combines pop-punk vocals with a more hardcore punk sound. “Control” shows the band experimenting with emo. “The War” is a politically charged song that urges listeners to stand up and fight against oppressive systems.

Now that Audible Trauma is finally available Loss Of Signal is excited about reaching pop-punk fans new and old.

"After two years of recording from our home studios, our debut album is finally here,” said the band in an official statement.Audible Trauma is a 12-track love letter to ’90s and 2000’s pop-punk that puts our own twist on the genre.”
