Machine Gun Kelly Enters A New Era By Going Back To His Roots With “dont let me go”
Machine Gun Kelly is a big name in headlines for his new blackout tattoo, personal life, how he switched genres, his movie roles, and even his ongoing feuds with other musicians. Despite the backlash, he does have a HUGE fan base that root for him in everything he does. His real name is Colson Baker, from Cleveland, OH and he started out as a rap artist when he entered the scene dropping his first album in 2012, Lace Up. By 2020 with his 5th album, he had decided to go in a different direction with his pop-punk inspired albums Ticket To My Downfall followed by his 2022 6th album Mainstream Sellout. Now it seems as though he is going back to his roots with his latest music video drop for his new single “dont let me go.”
With this new release, Baker goes into detail about many aspects of his life that fans appreciate to hear because it’s raw, real, tragically beautiful, and something to resonate with. He goes over his childhood, his relationship with his late father, mental health, his fear of losing it all, and even the shocking revelation of a miscarriage with his current fiancé Megan Fox. Their relationship has been a main focus in the media and recently Fox released her debut poetry/prose book Pretty Boys Are Poisonous which Baker encouraged her to share with the world. What nobody expected was to read about the tragedy that neither of them had shared yet, now for the first time since her book release, Baker has also shared his emotions towards dealing with such a big secret.
Love him or hate him but Machine Gun Kelly isn’t going anywhere. Over the years he has come out of his shell into the person he wants to be and his fans love every moment of it. From his music genre switches, his tattoos, his personal life, and the way he dresses is his own right whether you agree or not. Haters will hate when someone has a lot going for them because of their hard work. Baker deserves all his success and all the happiness his heart desires, just like anyone else.
This new era is promising as his whole career has been to this date and I’m excited to see what he has in store for this year as well as his next album.
