MAVIS Shares New Music Video For “DNA”
On 28th November MAVIS released their new song called “DNA”. Today I’m going to give it a listen.
MAVIS are a metalcore band from Germany, that consists of Phil Donay (vocals), Manu Weller (guitar), Mo Amrein (guitar), and Jakob Schulz-Klein (drums). They express self love, confidence, and tolerance through their music. The band was founded in 2019.
Their new song starts with a melodic scream from their frontman, Phil, and when the guitars finally kicked in after it, I was enchanted, because of it. Vocalist is exploring new vocal ranges which makes their creation unique for the rest. It also has very touching lyrics which I think tells us a lot of ‘sad’ truth. I will consider the chorus as my favorite part of the song, because of the melody that keeps repeating in my head over and over. The music video seems very interesting too. The song can be considered as sad, but it’s definitely worth giving a listen!
I really liked the song. After listening to it only once, I can confidently say that it will play in my headphones for a while. “DNA” starts a new era for the band, and I’m here for it!
