The wildest music drop to happen in the last 24 hours is the unforeseen but insanely amazing collaboration of Megan Thee Stallion featuring Spiritbox on her rock/metal remix of her single “Cobra”.
For those who don’t know who Megan Thee Stallion is, she’s a Houston born rap artist who is a three-time Grammy winning artist, actor, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. She has also earned two Billboard Hot #1 hits for her singles "Savage” featuring Beyonce and “WAP” featuring Cardi B proving she is an unstoppable force. Along with her long list of achievements, she has also earned 9 BET Awards and back to back Billboard Music Awards for being Top Rap Female Artist and for her advocacy has earned herself 2022 Special Achievement Award at The Webby Awards and The Trailblazer Award at iHeartRadio Music Awards.
The achievements she’s unlocked don’t even stop there. Last year she made history for being the very first black female to ever grace Forbes cover prestigious Under 30 Issue. Before this, the TIME’s recognized her for being apart of 100 Most Influential People of 2020 after she had published her monumental “Why I Speak For Black Women” oped for the New York Times.
Not only is this woman powerful, she’s making history for women of color and proving raw talent and intelligence along with being confident and being beautiful all go hand in hand. Megan truly is an unstoppable force of nature making a name for herself and giving young women of color someone to look up to and be proud for who they are. I applaud every accomplishment she has surpassed and can’t wait to see what else she’s able to give the world we all didn’t know we needed.
