Periphery Announce Release of Album “Periphery V: Djent Is Not A Genre”

Periphery are masters to their craft and this album is shaping up to be not different, keeping up with the core sound to the genre their new single Wildfire.

We spent more time on Periphery V than any other release in our history,” says guitarist Mark Holcomb. “We challenged and pushed ourselves harder, and along the way we grew even closer as a band. We are so proud of the final results! I also wanted to mention how exceedingly grateful we are to our fans for being so patient in waiting for this record. We wanted to show our appreciation by giving you two songs today instead of one. We have a very busy 2023 and 2024 planned so we’ll see you on the road

Having been in the scene for over 10 years, Periphery has reached many milestones over the years with two Grammy nominations, landing front pages on notable magazines such as Revolver and Guitar World and also several side projects but with Periphery being the main focus. The band will be on tour with Underoath this spring.

Photographer & Writer

My love for concert photography came from my scrolling on tumblr in my high school years, growing more after attending Warped Tour in 2012. Earning my associates degree in the arts from Cochise College in 2017, I started hunting for my next goal. I began my photojournalism journey in 2019 after working for my local newspaper taking shots of anyone and anything. I have a background of short documentaries, video interviewing and editorial shots. My friends tell me I have a plethora of band/music knowledge that I now hope to put to good use.
