Sixthman Announces Inaugural "Little Steven's Underground Garage Cruise"
“Little Steven” Van Zandt is taking his garage rock brand to the high seas with Little Steven’s Underground Garage Cruise. Van Zandt has teamed up with Sixthman, the premier festival and party cruise promoter to organize what is being called, “The Coolest Cruise in the World.” The four-day cruise will set sail May 9, 2025, and depart from Miami, FL to Nassau, Bahamas on the Norwegian Gem.
Claiming to be “inspired by the renegade spirit of Pirate Radio,” Van Zandt has booked an incredibly impressive and diverse list of bands to perform during the cruise. So far the lineup includes Social Distortion, X, Rocket From The Crypt, Reverend Horton Heat, Old 97’s, Low Cut Connie, Los Straitjackets, Lenny Kaye, Flamin’ Groovies, The Dictators, The Fleshtones, The Chesterfield Kings, Supersuckers, Linda Gail Lewis, Slim Jim Phantom Trio, The Dollyrots, The Woggles, The Coolies, The Untamed Youth, Deke Dickerson, The Neanderthals, The Sound Minds, and Goons!
If you consider yourself both a music and a sports fan, you will love The Baseball Project. The supergroup plays music inspired by the crazy stories of America’s pastime. Members include Scott McCaughey (Young fresh Fellows, The Minus 5), Steve Wynn (The Dream Syndicate, Steve Wynn & the Miracle 3, Gutterball), Linda Pitmon (Steve Wynn & the Miracle 3, Zuzu’s Petals) and Mike Mills and Peter Buck of R.E.M. Members will also participate in performances by The Minus 5 and Miracle 3.

Other activities booked for the cruise include a celebration of the classic album Nuggets with Lenny Kaye & Friends. Renegade Cinema will screen the 2015 documentary Who Do You Want Me to Be? followed by a Q&A with Michael Des Barres. Little Steven’s Underground Garage SiriusXM channel DJs Count Peter Zaremba, The Mighty Manfred, Kelly Ogden, and Palmyra Delran will host SiriusXM Sessions at Sea radio tapings.
Other than the fantastic music-related activities, the Norwegian Gem offers numerous fully stocked bars, restaurants, the Pool Deck with multiple hot tubs, the Gem Club Casino, Mandara Spa, Body Waves Fitness Center, and Sports Court among the many facilities at use to cruisers. Once the Norwegian Gem docks in Nassau, guests can enjoy the beauty and adventure of the Caribbean island. Shore excursions will be made available 4-6 weeks prior to sailing and made available upon receipt of the guest’s official booking number.
First round pre-sale signups conclude on June 9 at 11:59 pm (ET). Public On-Sale will begin on June 11 at 2:00 pm (ET), exclusively at UndergroundGarageCruise.com. Any guest who books before June 16th will have $100 off their ticket before prices increase on Monday, June 17.
Cruisers who book the first 250 cabins will receive a commemorative event poster (provided that the guests are named on their reservation by Monday, September 9). Any guest can book for $100 down per person if they enroll in Automatic Monthly Billing before Monday, September 9.
