SONGWRITER MELODY FEDERER SHARES NEW SINGLE “FALLING OUT”
Despite its enigmatic nature, Melody Federer's music is charming and candid. She honed her craft in New York, Paris, Los Angeles, Nashville, Seattle, and back to Nashville, where she continues to garner recognition as an emerging artist in Indie and Alternative music. Her new single, "Falling Out," examines the ease of falling in love versus the difficulty of falling out.
In addition to being a well-known solo artist, she also writes for a variety of musicians, and her stage presence is easily adaptable to a range of genres. As a guest of legends in the industry, she is able to capture a room with just her voice and guitar.
She has been seen at the Musee D'Orsay in Paris, Paris Fashion Week, the Royal Hall in London, Harvard Clubs, Zinc Clubs, The Basement in Nashville, and Moroccan Lounges and Sabans in Los Angeles, her talent has taken her to iconic venues and buzzing clubs across the globe. Her past solo tracks have been featured on SiriusXM and tastemaker radio stations like WXPN and KUCI as well as numerous other shows and festivals in major North American and European cities.
A variety of musicians have worked with Melody, from major pop artists P!nk and Hilary Duff, to electroclash producers Plastik Funk and Gazzo. In addition to writing R&B hits for Kelly Rowland and Jacob Whitesides, she's also collaborated with Michael Buble and Burt Bacharach, two jazz titans.
She shares the songwriting room with GRAMMY Award Winners Emory Dobyn, Mike Pool, Daniel Tashian, as well as GRAMMY Nominees Scott Chesak, Billy Mann, Chad Carlson, and Roget Chahayed because of her word play and emotional, memorable, and passionate toplines.
Since her 2017 debut album Where The Dogwoods Bloom,Federer has been working on new solo material as a follow up to her collaborations with Plastik Funk, Telykast, and SAMATHA. A number of singles were released in 2019 by her, including “The Song’s Gone Wrong,” “Someday,” and “Midwest ” as part of the #SinglesClub series.
