December 4, 2024 - House of Blues in Boston played host to an unforgettable night of pop-punk glory as State Champs headlined an extravagant show, supported by Knuckle Puck, Meet Me @ The Altar, and Daisy Grenade. The energy in the room was electric, the crowd relentless, and the music unrelenting.

New York-based duo Daisy Grenade set the tone for the evening with their energetic mix of pop-punk and grunge influences. Their set kicked off with the gritty "Sick in the City," immediately grabbing the audience's attention. Tracks like "Are You Scared of Me Yet?" and "Riot" showcased their raw vocals and lyrical edge. A standout moment came when they performed a cover of Nirvana’s "Polly," which elicited a warm sing-along from the early crowd. They wrapped up with the rebellious "Hypocrite," leaving the stage to loud applause.

Next up was Meet Me @ The Altar, a rising name in the pop-punk scene known for their anthemic tracks and empowering themes. The band exploded into their set with "Say It (to My Face)" and kept the momentum going with "Now or Never" and "Hit Like a Girl." Their infectious energy had the crowd bouncing and fist-pumping in unison. The heartfelt "Try" provided a more emotional and heartfelt moment, with many in the crowd singing along, while their medley of "My Friends Over You" and "My Own Worst Enemy" brought a wave of nostalgia. They closed their set with "Kool," leaving fans energized and primed for Knuckle Puck next.

Opening with the angsty "Want Me Around," they dove headfirst into a hard-hitting performance. Songs like "The Tower" and "Disdain" showcased their knack for combining aggression with melody. The crowd went wild for fan-favorites like "Gone" and "No Good," shouting every lyric back at the band. Their set was a perfect balance of catharsis and adrenaline, allowing for the pits and crowd surfing to get warmed up.

From the moment State Champs launched into "Silver Cloud," it was clear the night had reached its crescendo. The Albany, New York-based band is a staple of the modern pop-punk movement, and they proved why with a powerhouse performance. The setlist was a perfect blend of hits and deep cuts, including "Mine Is Gold," "Criminal," and "Perfect Score / Frozen / Fake It." Each song was met with deafening cheers, singing and a sea of crowd surfers.

The energy peaked during "All You Are Is History," with fans screaming the lyrics as lead singer Derek DiScanio commanded the stage. The heartfelt "Around the World and Back," featuring Daisy Grenade, was a touching highlight. They wrapped up their main set with "Save Face Story," but the crowd’s chants for more brought them back for an encore. "Everybody but You" turned into a massive singalong, and the night closed with the fan-favorite "Secrets."
