On October 1st, State Champs kicked off “spooky season” with a high-energy pop-punk show in Tempe, AZ. Supporting them on the Pure Noise Records Tour was Bearings, Just Friends, Real Friends, and Four Year Strong.

State Champs kicked off “spooky season” right with an amazing show in Tempe, AZ. Throughout the night as the openers performed one after the other you could just feel the anticipation building up, the artists commented a few times on how this crowd was one of the best that they had, had yet if not the best. Once State Champs took the stage it was like a bubble burst and the room was full of energy. With people constantly crowd surfing and a mosh pit going everyone was having a blast. State Champs always puts on a great show and you know that you will see bassist/vocalist Ryan Scott Graham dancing all over the stage throughout the set. They played classics like “Secrets”, “Frozen”, and “All You Are Is History” but they also broke out their most recent singles “Outta My Head” and “Just Sound”.

State Champs released the music video for “Just Sound” back in August. The video starts off as the boys minus lead singer, Derek DiScanio who is playing the role of “Rob Boss” practicing as the “Rob Boss Band” and it doesn’t sound quite right. They finally get the hang of things and perform while “Rob Boss” paints Mount Rushmore but instead of presidents, the carvings are of the State Champs members. The “Rob Boss Band” members end up being the filming crew for “Rob Boss” and when guitarist, Tyler Szalkowski messes up he is sent on a coffee run which turns into a horrible disaster where he ruins the painting. This song is a perfect blend of the bands’ previous albums. You can check out the video for yourself above!

Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, Devon has had a camera in her hands at all times since the age of four. Growing up, her dad was always showing her different kinds of music and is one of the main reasons that she fell in love with the music industry. Her mother also introduced her to the world of photography and helped her learn everything that she could to better her craft. After realizing she could combine the two she found her passion.

Death Moth Press was an idea that seemed so far away but now it’s here!
