You get to actually step inside the neurotic mind of a singer and live in that
— says author Jason Thomas Gordon

Jason Thomas Gordon, who aside from being an author is a screenwriter, creator of Music Gives to St. Jude Kids and singer/drummer of LA rock band Kingsize. Gordon seems to have always had a drive to give voices to those who needed it, whether it be unfurling two 17-foot banners on top of the roof of Tower Records that read ‘SAVE YOUR RECORD STORES!’ to creating Music Gives to St. Jude Kids.

The Singer’s Talk - The Greatest Singers of Our Time Discuss The One Thing They’re Never Asked About: Their Voices is available for preorder now and is available everywhere September 5th

The Singers Talk is a collection of 70 plus interviews with singers from different genres and walks of life. Gordon’s journey began when he started searching for answers to his own struggles of being a front man, while searching for answers to his questions Gordon reached out to singer friends of his that lead down a rabbit hole that now consists of 70 plus interviews of leading legendas ranging from Willie Nelson, Stevie Nicks, Joan Jet, Matt Skiba, Robert Smith and a talk with the late and great Tony Bennett. Gordon made a post on instagram in memoriam of the late legend writing that Gordon’s grandfather and Bennett were close friends and that Bennett was a huge inspiration for Music Gives to St. Jude Kids. ‘...What a legend the world has lost today. But through his remarkable voice he lives on for all time. And through his remarkable heart, so do his deeds that remind us that music truly has the power to save children’s lives.’

In a reel posted on the Kingsize instagram that ‘100 percent’ of Gordon’s royalties will be going to Saint Jude’s research facilities for children.

My love for concert photography came from my scrolling on tumblr in my high school years, growing more after attending Warped Tour in 2012. Earning my associates degree in the arts from Cochise College in 2017, I started hunting for my next goal. I began my photojournalism journey in 2019 after working for my local newspaper taking shots of anyone and anything. I have a background of short documentaries, video interviewing and editorial shots. My friends tell me I have a plethora of band/music knowledge that I now hope to put to good use.
