The White Stripes Complete Lyrics Book Available in Stores Now
For the first time ever, all the original words Jack White wrote while he was in the White Stripes are collected in a deluxe hardcover book titled The White Stripes Complete Lyrics. The book compiles every song lyric by Jack White from 1997 when the White Stripes were formed through 2007 when their final album was released.
The book also prints rare and never-before-seen material such as rough drafts and alternate lyrics to songs. Rarely seen photographs are also included in the book. In addition, the book features exclusive essays by the poet Hanif Abdurraqib, musician Ben Blackwell, and chef and activist Caroline Randall Williams. The White Stripes Complete Lyrics is published by White’s own publishing company Third Man Books.
Founded by Jack White and Meg White, the White Stripes were one of the leading groups in the garage rock revival in the early 2000s.With multi-million dollar sales and six Grammy wins, the White Stripes became of the most popular and critically-acclaimed rock bands of their era. The 2003 album was highly regarded by both fans and critics and was RIAA Platinum-certified. Third Man Records has released a limited edition 2xLP version of Elephant on Red Smoke (LP1) and Clear w/Red and Black Smoke (LP2) colored vinyl. An expanded new digital edition, Elephant (Deluxe), is also available on all DSPs and streaming services. Elephant (Deluxe) features remastered HD audio of the original studio album and a 27-song live set recording of the White Stripes’ July 2, 2003 concert at Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.
