The UK’s best kept secret band is now making their voices known. Even though being in the rock and roll scene for just a bit over 10 years, Tigercub has already made waves across the pond. The Perfume of Decay, Tigercub’s third full length album, has hit streaming waves in June and is their most streamed album to date. Swoon being the first single from the album has a dreamy feel that leaves the listener lost in the electrical notes but grounded by the heavy hitting drum beats and the rhythmic guitar which in turns sets the mood for the rest of the album.

On every record, I’m looking for a contrast, I think counterpoint is something that is a real driving force in great art. I wanted to have whisper-quietly-by-candlelight vocals against the most gained-out guitars we could get. I think that the way we express loud-quiet-loud is becoming a part of our identity
— Lead vocalists and lead guitarist, Jaime Stephen Hall told Apple Music in a recent interview about how loud sound and quiet vocals is the staple of their sound

The riff heavy Show Me My Maker expresses Hall’s vision completely.

It’s all about opposites,” Hall says. “Sweet-and-salty popcorn tends to taste better than regular popcorn, even though those are two opposing forces. I wanted to nail that concept with our heavy guitars, softer-sung vocals, Can-style grooves, and a bit of shoegaze. Counterpoints can come together and make a powerful connection. I’ve crossed the threshold from my 20s to my 30s, so I’m getting older, but I’m also entering my prime. This record is a
reflection of that.

My love for concert photography came from my scrolling on tumblr in my high school years, growing more after attending Warped Tour in 2012. Earning my associates degree in the arts from Cochise College in 2017, I started hunting for my next goal. I began my photojournalism journey in 2019 after working for my local newspaper taking shots of anyone and anything. I have a background of short documentaries, video interviewing and editorial shots. My friends tell me I have a plethora of band/music knowledge that I now hope to put to good use.
