Detroit horrorcore rappers Twiztid have unleashed a new official music video in anticipation of their upcoming album Unlikely Prescription. The song, “Neon Vamp” is a shocking collaboration with Dani Filth, lead vocalist of British black metal band, Cradle of Filth.  Twiztid members, Jamie Madrox and Monoxide, have both expressed their admiration of extreme metal musicians. Madrox was very excited to work with Dani Filth.

I've always respected Dani Filth and the legacy he has etched out in the world of metal and wondered what would it sound like if our musical worlds collided like peanut butter and chocolate,” said Madrox. “And like a true legend he rose to the challenge and what we recorded is the most anticipated collaboration effort in a great long while."

This collaboration is unusual for Dani Filth. This would make the first time he has worked with a hip-hop group. Many hardcore Cradle of Filth fans may object to hearing Dani Filth rap for the first time. Filth admits he was hesitant at first but soon warmed to the new sound they had created.

"It was awesome to collaborate on such a genre (monster) mash-up with the guys in Twiztid,” said Filth. “Slightly reticent at first, when I heard the track, I was like, ‘this is actually very, very sick!’ and the vampiric subject matter quickly decided it for me. I really like the song. It’s bristling with dark energy, and it definitely carries that ‘Blade’ night-club vibe about its rap/metal swagger. I hope fans of both bands and genres enjoy the track just as much as I did in helping forge the beast. Like a vampire telling you to suck it. Having a nice day? We're here to corrupt it. Hell yeah."

As one would expect from the combination of Twiztid and Dani Filth, the accompanying music video has some disturbing imagery. Shot in black and white and crimson, the video depicts the slow transformation of a woman into a dangerous vampire. Scenes include the woman spewing blood into a toilet and later developing fangs to go along with her defiant attitude.

The new album will be released on Twiztid’s own label, Majik Ninja Entertainment, and has if “Neon Vamp” is any indication, should be a musically hard and heavy album. The metallic beat of “Neon Vamp” comes courtesy of regular Twiztid drummer Drayven. Overseeing the production of Unlikely Prescription is noted metal producer Zeuss who has worked with Rob Zombie, Hatebreed, and Spirit Adrift. Previous singles from the album, "Corkscrew", "Perfect Problem", "Rose Petal" and "Envy” (with a guest appearance by Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills) have already attracted 4 million streams across various platforms.
