Forming almost 20 years ago, Veil of Maya has pushed the limits on metalcore with a techno background. After their last release in 2017, the band released 3 singles leading up to the long awaited release of ‘[m]other’.

This album, is a whole new chapter for Veil of Maya. We’ve tried to push the boundaries of our sound and to step into uncharted territory. Creating fresh pathways while still keeping the core of what Veil of Maya is. We want to say a huge thank you to our fans for sticking with us for the six years it’s taken to get this body of work out into the world. ‘[m]other’ now belongs to all of you. we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.
— Guitarist and founding member, Marc Okubo says

Along with the release of the new album on May 12th, the band also dropped an accompanying video for their single ‘Disco Kill Party’

Photographer & Writer

My love for concert photography came from my scrolling on tumblr in my high school years, growing more after attending Warped Tour in 2012. Earning my associates degree in the arts from Cochise College in 2017, I started hunting for my next goal. I began my photojournalism journey in 2019 after working for my local newspaper taking shots of anyone and anything. I have a background of short documentaries, video interviewing and editorial shots. My friends tell me I have a plethora of band/music knowledge that I now hope to put to good use.
