VISERION and TELOCH VOVIN Release ‘The Iron Age Of Kali Yuga’

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here, the split album The Iron Age Of Kali Yuga by VISERION and TELOCH VOVIN has been released.

We in VISERION are thrilled to release our split with our friends in TELOCH VOVIN. As the first EP with our new lineup, we are excited to showcase our new material and its reflection of our musical progression.

TELOCH VOVIN’s side of The Iron Age Of Kali Yuga split CD, entitled Elohim Acherim, is a descent into Divine Madness. Through it we dig deeper into the musical burial grounds from which we sprang forth with songs like ‘Teloch Vovin’ and ‘An Eastern Temple’ while exploring new musical dimensions with the song ‘Dragon Sworn’ as well as adding in some ov the Ritual Black Ambient aspects ov our Psalms Ov Khaos tracks to present a totally immersive audio hallucination to destroy your mind.
— Teloch Vovin

VISERION’s half of the album was recorded at Level Up Recording Studios by David Melendez. He recorded all tracks except for “Fathers”, which was recorded at 2525 Studios produced by Gil Vives and Japan Kerry with guest vocals by Kerry. TELOCH VOVIN’s material for the album was produced by Grigori, engineered/mixed/recorded by Antonio (Ash) Padilla and mastered by Mike Usifer at Aural Assault Studio. The cover art was created by Elena Vasilaki with help from CryforDeath666.

On the day of the release, they held a release party at Duff’s Brooklyn hosted by Ed Farshtey of Armageddon Productions. VISERION’s side was played at 10, followed by TELOCH VOVIN’s half at 11. At 12:30, the entire record was played again.

TELOCH VOVIN is based in Long Island/New York City and is made up of Baba Ogun (vocals), Etu Narum (vocals), Grigori (guitars/backing vocals), Saturnus (bass/backing vocals), Azag (bells/samples/backing vocals), Proph (electronics), and Ash (drums). Their work is conceptual and expresses the worship and ritual workings with the Forces ov Khaos, Entropy, and Death. TELOCH VOVIN is Enochian, Teloch translates to “Death” and Vovin translates to “Dragon”. This is a reference to Samuel “The Dragon ov Death” which is known for its fiery, destructive aspect as Satan.

The band was formed in the early 2010s, its lineup having self-released five titles. They had the honor of sharing the stage with artists such as Black Witchery, Negative Plane, Grave Gnosis, Kult Ov Azal, Mortician, Shining, Black Anvil, Behexen, Hobb’s Angel Or Death, and many more, which all helped them build a rabid fanbase.

Reforged with fiery depths and after several lineup changes, TELOCH VOVIN returned in 2020 and thrived through the pandemic. They performed live streams with Blood Feast, Sickbay, and Malignancy. They also released a series of self-produced tracks via Bandcamp. The Elohim Acherim material for their contributions to The Iron Age Of Kali Yuga showcases the band combining black metal with elements of traditional, death, and doom metal as well as ambient/electronic influences intertwined with occult practices that are the backdrop of TELOCH VOVIN. This delivers a raw listening experience that is raw and violent, but also captivating and hypnotic.

Queens based VISERION is made up of Benedetto “Slaughter” Marvilli (vocals/guitar), Matthew “Durden” Marvilli (backing vocals/drums), Cris V (lead guitar), and Tasso Diakov (bass). The band takes raw black metal and metamorphoses its elements with a chaotic fury with their extreme influences. These influences are a blend of death, grindcore, and progressive dynamics. VISERION isn’t afraid to further descend into the blackened depths and showcase the horrors within.

The band emerged in 2019 with a name that was inspired by Game Of Thrones undead ice dragon. The extreme metal band has made an impact on the scene with their ruthless sound and playing at venues like the legendary Saint Vitus Bar. They have crafted their own cross genre twist by drawing influences from Darkthrone, Watain, Agalloch, Harakiri For The Sky, and many more.

In January of 2020 VISERION unveiled their savage debut, the Death Dealer EP, followed by the full length album Natural Selection in 2021. The band delivers sound directly from the void below with their banshee shrieks and demonic guttural growls against a backdrop from your worst nightmares, revealing monstrous realms. The band has also explored a different route, venturing into eerie atmospheres and bleak soundscapes to summon a place of vast nothingness. Their early career has shown many great steps and the band is bound to have an incredible future.
