Music Video Release for Single off of Upcoming Solence Album
Swedish metal-electropop foursome, Solence, has dropped a music video for the track “nuBlood.” The video was released on December 14, 2022, and has already amassed 23k views on YouTube. The single, which features Bryan Kuznitz of Fame on Fire, is the latest single from the group off their upcoming album, “_hope is a cult_.” This recent release is the fourth single from the new album; cumulatively, the recent releases have garnered over 373k views on YouTube, and over two million listens on Spotify. The forthcoming record will be the third full-length album for the group, following the release of their 2021 record, “Deafening.”
When speaking about the upcoming album, Solence has continually voiced their excitement for the new record and music video:
“'NuBlood' is a song about all the old dudes starting wars and oppressing people just to be able to cling on to their puny power! Just step aside. Your time is up. Out with the old, in with the new.
'NuBlood' is also a straight-up banger so hold on 'cuz this chorus is like sticking your head out the window whilst driving 100mph on the freeway!!
“We’re also so extremely excited to finally be able to share 'hope_is_a_cult' with all the Solence family…and the not yet inaugurated ones!! We’ve worked so hard and so long on this and we truly feel like this is such an important step for us in our journey to write the most “Solence” of songs that we can write. This album goes up, down, sideways, then we solo for a bit, and then it's head-banging and big choruses!
We’re super proud of this and hope you’re as excited as we are for 'hope_is_a_cult'!!!”
Solence consists of vocalist Markus Videsäter, drummer David “Viking Vikingsson, guitarist David Strääf, and keyboardist Johan Swärd. The quartet released their first single in 2014, and after releasing their first album, “Brothers,” in 2019, the group has gained traction with electropop-metal fans worldwide. Solence has over one million monthly listeners on Spotify and 177k subscribers on YouTube.
“We want to build up this family around positivity, hope, and the belief you can change things,” Markus states. “We want you to forget everything that bothers you when you listen to this album. If we’re doing our job, audiences feel like they’re a part of it. When you go to a SOLENCE show, you have a good time, so hope is a cult for us.”
