Wednesday 13 Brings 21 Years of Murderdolls to New Jersey - 11.19.23

In the middle of a nearly 2 month long tour celebrating 21 years of Murderdolls, Wednesday 13 and his band brought the horror to Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ on November 19th. The set mixed both records, the debut Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls, and sophomore release Women and Children Last. Between songs, he shared tales from the band’s history, including the moment when Mick Mars came by the studio while recording Women and Children Last to record parts on tracks Drug Me to Hell and Blood Stained Valentine, slicing his finger in the process, and “bleeding on the record.”

It was also noted that people outside might have heard the crowd chanting “Wednesday” on a Sunday, and that those people figured that the fans were “confused and probably worshipping Satan” inside the bar. He also paid tribute to the late Joey Jordison, founding member of Murderdolls, in these walks down memory lane. Original Murderdolls drummer Ben Graves was also honored, with both members prominently featured on the drum kit.

The sold out room was thrilled and chilled by the Duke of Spook’s stories, jokes, and lyrics embracing the darker side of (after)life after being warmed up by supporting acts Black Satellite, Infected Rain, and Gemini Syndrome. They’re all on the road through December 9th, so check out the remaining tour dates to catch Wednesday 13 perform Murderdolls live, and you too can dip your chips in the blood that drips!

I am a photographer based in New York City. I primarily capture live music, though I also love documenting cities and events. I look for beauty in the details. I studied at the School of Visual Arts for two years before leaving to pursue other education and received a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s, Gender, and Sexualities Studies from Hunter College in 2016. I have been published in numerous outlets such as Stencil, Jersey Beat, and Alternative Press. I also had a photograph featured in a national Ernie Ball campaign. I feel most at home when I'm at a concert and have been enjoying live music since I was 8 years old - with no plans to stop any time soon.
