Whitecapel’s First Headling Tour in 4 Years “Playing in the Valley in Full“
Deathcore band Whitechapel is finally headlining their first tour in 4 years. Alongside some them on this tour are the bands Archspire, Signs of the swarm and Entheos. The Tennessee band had planned to tour for their 2019 album “ The Valley “ but the pandemic crisis cut the tour idea short. Now as we are into 2023 and the pandemic isn’t as crazy as it once was. The band has decided that this tour is the perfect opportunity to finally do a headliner for the album. They are playing the entirety of the album at every stop!
The show was an absolute knock out if you’ve never seen any of the performing bands before. The pits were full of people singing along, running in circle pits, even throwing thrash cans ( At least at the show at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts )
Entheos was the first band to play for the night. The California based Metal band was a crowd favorite. Chaney Crabb is a fantastic front women With lots of power behind her voice. After the show I ended up running into her and had a small conversation. She is an absolute sweetheart and absolutely cares about her fans.
Signs of Swarm. This Deathcore band from Pennsylvania really struck me as a new fan. From their screams, lyrics, and stage presence, I was hooked. Although I didnt know much about the band beforehand, I can definitely say that this is a band that has a lot of potential and i’m glad I had the opportunity to see.
ArchSpire, the Canadian death metal band was the last band before Whitechapels appearance and Ive got to say i’ve never once had my mouth drop during a set like I did with theirs. These guys literally brought the energy to the concert that I didn’t even know we needed. The way Front man Oli Peters Was an absolute beast when it came to singing and screaming super fast. The way he does everything so fast with jumping around and having an absolute ball is the best feeling because it gets you feeling hyped! During their show they brought out a twister mat and told everyone to make a wall of death for people to play it. As Oli called out colours and movements, the last spin was one to remember. As everyone watched the people playing Oli then read the last spin as “ The wall of death “ As the song began, the crowd then went crazy as everyone is still in positions for the game. It was a beyond funny moment.
