Tennesee deathcore band, Whitechapel, released their newest live album, Live In The Valley, on January 26. This album contains all of their biggest songs including “When a Demon Defiles a Witch”, “Hickory Creek” and their biggest hit, “The Saw Is The Law”. This live album was recorded at the band’s 7th annual Christmas Benefit Show on December 22nd, 2022, in their hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee at The Mill & Mine. The album was recorded, engineered, mixed, and mastered by the band’s guitarist, Zach Householder. It serves as a chapter closer before the band begins working on their ninth studio album, which was first teased on the band’s Instagram in June of 2023.

Proceeding the release of one of Whitechapel’s most unique albums, The Valley, guitarist Alex Wade stated that,

“To me, it was like the stars aligning for us to create our almost perfect record in regard to songwriting, vocal performance, the mix and master, and the artwork”

Following their most recent album, Kin, Whitechapel showed their growth, with every album they try to utilize new material along with adding in a sense of the old-styled Whitechapel. Even with vocalist Phil Bozeman stating,

“We write music with how we feel and not what is expected of us.”

The band plans on channeling this energy into their upcoming album to give their audience something new and exciting, while still writing to their story.
