YUNGBLUD returns to the scene with fierce energy and bitter vengeance with his most brutally honest latest single, “LOWLIFE” via Locomotion/Geffen Records, marking the start of a new rebellious and visually appealing era. “LOWLIFE” is available to stream and listen to everywhere now.

The single was teased as Yungblud sent hand-written notes to fans' mailboxes worldwide leaving behind cryptic messages that entailed specific locations across Germany, London, and  Los Angeles where blacked-out cars appeared with the word “LOWLIFE” spray painted with white paint. Fans began speculating around these hidden messages of what’s next to come from their favorite artist and finally arrived in large crowds to hear the single for the first time as a community.

Yorkshire alternative-rock born artist, YUNGBLUD (Dominic Harrison), has caused a massive uproar within the music scene who instantly became known for his loud-unfiltered opinions and dedicated fanbase. He released his debut album, 21st Century Liability in 2018 that quickly gained attention from the masses due to his musically diverse sound and controversial punchy lyrics. In two short years this was followed by his sophomore coming of age album, Weird! in 2020. Quickly gaining momentum, YUNGBLUD released his latest self-titled album in 2022 in which he redefined his musical sound showcasing emotional maturity and growth as an artist over the past 5 years.

YUNGBLUD wears his heart on his sleeve with one of his most defenseless tracks to date signifying a mature growth and change within this songwriting and musical production. With his return back to his alternative-rock roots, the track stems from his personal outlook on his daily life stating some of his deepest insecurities and thoughts. “LOWLIFE” is an honest representation of what YUNGBLUD represents - facing your fears and not being afraid of standing alone.

“LOWLIFE” is compiled with edgy guitars and bouncy bass lines creating a complex and dynamic industrial sound all under the guise of melancholy lyrics. The track is set to become a fan-favorite anthem because of its highly catchy melody and daring power. YUNGBLUD takes further control of his narrative while showcasing his innermost demons and redefining what it means to be part of the alternative music community, setting an example of embracing your truest self.

The lyrics in the first verse of the track carries such a heavy weight that it induces a strong emotional response due to the painfully and aching raw inner thoughts presented by YUNGBLUD in a way that we have never heard before, “You know I get embarrassed most of the days. When I'm walkin' 'round Camden with a smirk on my face. Put my hand in my pocket to find some change. Buy a bottle of gin to get the memories erased. ‘Cause you know what life is? It's extremely divisive. It's a fraudulent razor for you to trim your sidеs with young, dumb, livin' off mum.” The heartbreakingly genuine feelings expressed by YUNGBLUD courses through his veins leaving him completely vulnerable allowing the chance for fans to get an insight of his brain.

I wrote ‘Lowlife’ because I just didn’t want to leave my house. I was sick of people, of games, of myself, my friends, anytime I did anything some idiot had an opinion about it. What I should do or be. The truth is I didn’t want to be anything at all sometimes, I wanted to be nothing. So I just didn’t leave bed. I was dissatisfied and craving some sort of boredom. The type of boredom where you sit in your house, in the same sheets and watch fucking mind-numbing TV, so I wrote a song about it.
