Anna Elyse Finds a New Sense of Self in Her New Single, Slot Machines
Anna Elyse has all her fingers in all the pies, after graduating with a degree in Creative Writing from UCLA she moved on to audio engineering and found a creative space within the studio. Elyse also found herself working on prominent hip-hop albums including Logic’s first two albums Under Pressure and The Incredible True Story. Elyse found her sound in a folk-pop range of music when she released her debut single Trading Glances,
“I always found solace in music, especially when I connected to the stories. And I hope to provide that for someone else.”
Elyse’s new single, Slot Machines, is due out September 22nd.
“Slot Machines is about realizing you’ve outgrown a situation. You try to make it work, like sitting at a slot machine and continuing to pull the lever in hopes that you’ll hit the jackpot the next time around. Even if you wanted things to go back to how they were, it wouldn’t be possible. You don’t belong there anymore. You’ve completely changed”
