Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, Blake Rose, pops out of the shadows to release a fresh track, a first in 2021, titled "Casanova" via AWAL Recordings. Released along with the single, it was announced Blake Rose will release his debut EP "A World Gone By" on October 8th.

Blake shares his thoughts on the latest single:

“Casanova is about constantly falling too hard and too fast for people because you desperately want to be in a relationship, which ultimately ends up pushing them away. It also explores how we all feel when we’re surrounded by everyone in our lives getting into relationships and the pressure that comes with not wanting to be left alone.

The track is paired with a music video of its own, with lively and exciting visuals matching movie-like cinematography, written and directed by Sean Hollihan. Blake explains his vision behind the music video:

“I really wanted the Casanova video to be fun and energetic, but I also wanted to keep my input minimal so directors could submit treatments without any external influence. Sean came up with the treatment and as soon as I saw it I knew it was the one."

Blake continues to state the music video shares similarities to his own life, handling the pressures of relationships and "...constantly falling too hard and too fast for girls which end up pushing them away." A noteworthy comment of Blake is the dilemma of seeing plenty of the loved ones around you in relationships, and unintentionally love-bombing someone else due to "...not wanting to be left alone."

The latest single "Casanova" isn't the only track receiving love, but the rest of his catalog has received an overwhelming amount of streams, totaling over 150 million streams for his current discography. Within these streams, tracks included are “Lost”, “Ordinary People”, “Rest Of Us”, and “Gone". Blake helped receive publicity from Spotify back in 2019 with his self-produced "Hotel Room" that was featured in Spotify's playlist "New Music Friday", which Blake followed up with the single "Lost" which aided to maintain old and new fans alike.

If you are new to Blake Rose's material, his love and methodical writing for his work will be clearly evident. Blake unveils his method of madness behind his music:

“I try to give listeners an experience. I take a lot of time with every element to make sure I’m creating a world people can immerse themselves into. Whether the narrative is precise or ambiguous I try to attain a certain level of depth with each song that I hope people can latch onto and let it be as much a part of their own story as it is mine.”
