Diamonds and Guns Will Be Releasing New EP “Making Cash For Heartless Crooks”

Swedish band Diamonds and Guns will be releasing their new EP, “Making Cash For Heartless Crooks.” These songs are in a more positive atmosphere in comparison to their older releases. These can be described as more nostalgic, party, and full of summer vibes. The breathtaking melancholic, harmonious, energetic and incredible dynamics perfectly compliment the dark and light lyrics.

The EP is made up of five incredible tracks, including “So Long Chicago”, which will be released April 14th. Diamonds and Guns produced and recorded these songs by themselves and was mixed by Thomas Skogsberg/Sunlight Studios and mastered by Sverker Widgren/Wings Studios

Making Cash For Heartless Crooks Track List:

  1. Intro (Making Cash For Heartless Crooks)

  2. So Long, Chicago

  3. Nevertheless

  4. September

  5. Oh’ Thx For Friday

Each song has its own unique sound and backstory. “Intro (Making Cash For Heartless Crooks)”  is a beautiful intro to the EP and is a longer alternative ending for “Oh’ Thx For Friday.” “So Long, Chicago” is upbeat and a catchy punk rock song. It is a mix of a sad and glad story, it’s about the heart and purposefulness of the past. “Nevertheless” is a like a classic punk rock song about nostalgia and summer. It can easily be thought of as The Beach Boys if their music was harder. “September” is about the last party of the summer and can quickly get you dancing to it. “Oh’ Thx For Friday” is the most dynamic song on the entire EP. Just as the title says, it’s about the desire for Friday. The song features disco rhythms and some parts can even be related to George Michel’s “Careless Whisper.”

Diamonds and Guns was founded in 2019 by a group of four friends who wanted to start a rock band. During the pandemic, they recorded “The Lonesome Man”, “Cheers To Us”, and “Singing Songs From Hell”. Now, with the help of Tomas Skogsberg the band has shifted gears. Their hard work is certainly paying off and they are a band that you can easily fall in love with.
