Puscifer Visualizer for "Apocalyptical (Re-Imagined by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross)"

Since emerging from the Arizona desert, Puscifer, the electro-rock band founded by Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan has impressed critics with their unique brand of experimental and groovy music. The group’s 2020 album Existential Reckoning was highly well-regarded. Now Puscifer has revisited their hit album with a release of remixes called Existential Reckoning: Re-Wired.

Existential Reckoning: Rewired is a dataset of revoiced and reassembled orchestrations by friends and members of the larger Pusciforce family,” said Puscifer guitarist Mat Mitchell.

Among the members of this ‘Pusciforce family” are current band members Mat Mitchell and Carina Round, Greg Edwards (Failure, Autolux), Gunnar Olsen, Trent Reznor (Nine Ince Nails), and Atticus Ross, Phantogram, drummer Sarah Jones and Bring Me The Horizon’s Jordan Fish, Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of The Stone Age) with Gone is Gone’s Tony Hajjar, Juliette Commagere, Alessandro Cortini (Nine Inch Nails), Daniel P. Carter (BBC 1), and Justin Chancellor (Tool) with Scott Kirkland (The Crystal Method).

This amazing team of collaborators has reimagined each track from the original Existential Reckoning. These reinterpretations take the songs in startling new directions.

Sometimes it’s just fun to break stuff. Then you latch on to one familiar piece and build something entirely new.
— said Maynard James Keenan

A visualizer video for the song “Apocalyptical (Re-Imagined by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross)” has recently been released. The video is appropriately trippy and features kaleidoscope-like imagery that perfectly complements the expert production of Oscar-winning composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

This current video was preceded by a more down-to-earth, but no less powerful one for the track “A Singularity (Re-Imagined by Carina Round).” The video is a loving tribute to Keenan’s recently deceased dog MiHo and shows home footage of the much-loved and missed pet. “Postulous (Re-Imagined by Phantogram),” has a video that incorporates the surreal artwork of Daniel Martin Diaz who also illustrated the album cover for Existential Reckoning: Re-Wired
