Easy Life Release Debut Album “Life’s A Beach”

British five-piece Easy Life released their debut album “Life’s A Beach” on May 28th, just in time for the beginning of summer. The album entered the U.K. charts at number 2, and quickly became the soundtrack for summer 2021.

The record has 12 songs, ranging from upbeat, free-flowing tracks to dreamy interludes. The stand-out track, “nightmares”, sits at #10 on the tracklist. “nightmares” are both lyrically and instrumentally complex, the horn lines in the background are a great detail. On Spotify, “nightmares” currently have over 34M plays, so it’s clearly popular with the general public. 

Another highlight of this album is the track titled “Life’s A Beach (interlude)”. It’s right in the middle of the tracklist, and is about 30 seconds of dreamy instrumentals accompanied by the simple phrase (and title of the record) “Life’s A Beach”. It’s a great moment and a nice break in between the longer songs of the album.

Easy Life will be heading out on tour this fall and has chosen to partner with Epic Games to bring their listeners a unique experience: performing virtually in the game Fortnite. This opportunity gave fans a chance to see their set, win prizes, and be part of an experience that blurs the lines between reality and technology. The experience was available from June 24th to June 27th and has opened doors for similar experiences to be created.
