ENTHEOS Unveils, An End To Everything
On Wednesday April 3rd, progressive death metal duo ENTHEOS unveiled a new single and music video for, “An End To Everything.” The track serves as the band’s first new release last year’s critically adored Time Will Take Us All full-length as well as a precursor to the music to come later this year. From start to finish you’re drawn and want to open a pit the moment the vocals begin. The range of vocals throughout stands out all on its own and is extremely impressive how Chaney Crabb is able to switch effortlessly to each.
‘An End To Everything’ is lyrically about surrendering yourself or giving in to a sense of darkness and despair that you feel is beyond your own control. Musically, the first riff of the song came organically, and the rest of the song wrote itself after. We wanted the song to provoke a feeling of melancholy, with lyrics to match. It became a perfect combination of many of the styles of metal and rock that we aim to blend in our music.
- Elaborates vocalist Chaney Crabb
Incorporating elements drawn from myriad genres – including death metal, groove, grunge, electronica, slam, gothic rock, jazz, prog and more – and pushing progressive death metal in ever more imaginative directions, Time Will Take Us All proved that ENTHEOS continues to evolve with every release. Metal Hammer UK lauded a band, “poised to morph from a promising project into tech metal titans,” New Noise Magazine championed, “one of the best versions of modern riff–y progressive death metal we have now,” while Loudwire added, “the band plays with lockstep precision, turning the gears of their technical death metal machine as it steamrolls forward.”
ENTHEOS will return to the road this July on a US Summer tour supporting As I Lay Dying. The journey runs from July 9th through August 10th. Additional support will be provided by Chelsea Grin. Tickets are on sale now. See all confirmed dates below.
