Fit For An Autopsy Headlines Gramercy Theatre
On Saturday, February 12th, Fit For An Autopsy headlined the final show of their latest US album tour at Gramercy Theater in NYC to celebrate their latest album release “Oh What the Future Holds”. This deathcore band played to a nearly sold-out venue full of metalheads who enjoyed the night in the best way possible, opening an insane pit and letting loose.
The night was full of great opening bands starting with Great American Ghost. Each band made it a night to remember with killer sounds meanwhile Ethan, the vocalist of Great American Ghost jumped off the stage to get into the pit after climbing tables and he even nearly took yours truly into the pit after he threw his body past mine to crowd surf. It was a set like no other and of course, in the most Ethan fashion, he didn’t have any limits in the huge room. To end their set, Patrick from Fit For An Autopsy took to the stage surprising everyone to help close out the set on vocals.
As the show progressed, I got the amazing opportunity to hang out backstage with the bands. This show marked my very first All Access pass which was given to me by my buddy Patrick in Fit For An Autopsy. Words can’t describe how much I appreciate him as a friend for making a dream of mine a reality. Shout out to the security team for allowing me to be insane and climb on everything including jumping off the stage and climbing into the VIP section, anything for the shot am I right?
To close out the show, there was one more surprise in store. During the closing song, confetti was shot out into the crowd as Fit For An Autopsy wrapped up their final song. After their set, vocalist Joe went down to the merch area to greet their fans and sign merch before leaving for home.
Thank you again to Patrick, you’re such an incredible friend to have. This was a night I’ll never forget. Until next time, safe travels on the UK leg of the next tour.
