Lunacy Releases Debut Album, Disconnection

Lunacy is a creation born on both the ashes and out of cooperation of Warsaw-based bands: Hornad, Sphere, Morhana, Cryptic Rites, Chainsword, with music aimed at showing band members souls, sense of aesthetics and true faces in relation to mediocrity. The band had this to say; ‘We stand against human indifference, isolation and acting only to meet our own vain satisfaction. Lyrically, we touch on the subject of humanity being taken over by machines, apocalypse, dystopia .... all that we consider more and more to be the real visions of the universe. To us humanity is a disease that will end itself due to its self-confidence and selfish ways.

These views are prevalent in that band's recent discography, a perfect example is the band's song Childs Play. The description on the singles video on Youtube says the following:

Children "grow up" faster and faster, they lose carefree time, freedom and themselves, they lose their childhood... According to statistics, up to 40% of children are victims of adults who force them to grow up faster, work, witness or suffer violence at home. Not only physical but also psychological, pedophilia (in Poland mostly in clergy) or human trafficking. Every fifth child (420 million!) lives in a war zone, often being forced to take part in it themselves. More than 9,000 civilians, including at least 460 children, was murdered in Ukraine since the invasion began. Let's not make them grow up too fast, let them draw handfuls of what there will be no chance of returning to, from childhood.

If you see that something is wrong with children in your environment, REACT!

Photographer & Writer

My love for concert photography came from my scrolling on tumblr in my high school years, growing more after attending Warped Tour in 2012. Earning my associates degree in the arts from Cochise College in 2017, I started hunting for my next goal. I began my photojournalism journey in 2019 after working for my local newspaper taking shots of anyone and anything. I have a background of short documentaries, video interviewing and editorial shots. My friends tell me I have a plethora of band/music knowledge that I now hope to put to good use.
