Megadeth Brings the Destroy All Enemies Tour to The PNC Music Pavilion Charlotte, NC
On Friday September 6th, 2024; Megadeth, with supporting guests Mudvanye and All That Remains brought the Destroy All Enemies tour to the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, NC sponsored by Live Nation. It was a dream come true to be able to even be at this show because growing up I was always a fan of each band throughout my life, of course with the legendary Megadeth. I couldn’t be more appreciative and happy that Live Nation gave me the most amazing birthday gift to be present and be able to capture these iconic acts. This has been my second show since moving but ultimately the biggest acts I could have ever photographed since I started photographing over 16 years ago. I had very minimal experience with outdoor venues but this has been by far the best one I had ever been to and one of the most fun to photograph.
Up first was All That Remains, one of my favorite bands since high school back in the early 2000s. Once the show started, the crowd lost their minds and integrally my high school self was screaming along. They put on such an amazing performance and their stage presence was commanding of the crowd to bring the noise with them.

Next up was Mudvanye, a band I grew up with In the 90s and had always dreamed of seeing live, this was my chance I couldn’t miss. From start to finish, they not only put on a great performance but left me with many chuckles. From their selection of tracks to even the moment I picked up a cigarette in the photo pit and put it on the speaker to not make a mess, the vocalist Chad Gray gave me a great chuckle when he came over to pick it up and we both shrugged to who it belonged then he placed it right back down and kept on with his performance. I would definitely see them again in a heartbeat if I don’t have my camera in hand.

Last but not least, the legends known as Megdeth took to the stage. Before they did, a man dressed as the Plague Doctor came strolling out with a cart of body parts to get the crowd roaring, it sure did work. Once this character disappeared, the curtain came down and there was Dave Mustaine ready to give the fans what they all had came out for. The production of their stage set up was as fantastic as the band was. They played hard and took control of the stage and crowd long before they came up on it. To see a band I listened to from such a young age with Rust In Peace was such a treat for my 33rd birthday because I never thought I’d ever get the opportunity and now its one I will cherish forever.
