Memphis May Fire Announce New Album "SHAPESHIFTER"
On Wednesday November 20th, Memphis May Fire surprised fans by announcing their brand new album SHAPESHIFTER set for release on March 28th through their longtime label Rise Records. Along with the announcement, they had also dropped their title track music video and announced their Spring 2025 headline tour with Caskets, Wind Walkers, and Elijah. Over the last year they dropped new singles that just increasingly got better and better with each release and they’re proving there’s no end in sight. Comprised of Matty Mullins (vocals), Kellen McGregor (guitar), Cory Elder (bass), and Jake Garland (drums), each member brings their brilliant talents together to create some of the best singles to date.
The track and the album take a long, hard look at what lies beneath.
"'Shapeshifter' reflects the struggle of wrestling with identities and the need to confront the masks we wear. This track, and the entire album, is about exposing those parts of ourselves we often keep hidden. It's a journey through the layers of deception, self-reflection, and the struggle to find what's genuine in a world full of pretense. We wanted 'Shapeshifter' to embody that feeling of losing and finding yourself, over and over, until you finally see what's real."
