The newly released single, “Everybody Needs Someone” featuring Vance Joy is Cyrus’ first music drop of 2023 following the success of her debut studio album, The Hardest Part. The track composes a beautiful acoustic folk-pop arrangement that carries a delicate and catchy melody. The chorus of the track sings: “But don't slip away before the dawn, morning's about to come. And everybody needs someone, and I'll be here waitin'.” detailing a strong ridden companionship where even a long departure still connects them together. The longing for a love that feels pure and everlasting unites the two just like a pulling gravity.

The heartfelt and soothing vocals sung by Cyrus embodies the yearning attraction of wanting to be beside someone and embrace their loving presence in all hours of the day and night. In addition, Joy’s solo during the verses entices a comforting and dreamy atmosphere especially when it becomes layered against Cyrus’ harmonious vocals. The collaboration performance between Cyrus and Joy is another worldly listening experience that is resulted by combining the mastery of two talented artists.
