Part Time Scum Makes Their Debut at the Ole Swiss, 3.15.24

Photography By Kiera Kalleberg

Part Time Scum made their highly anticipated debut as a live band with their first ever public performance, at The Ole Swiss in the Great Kills neighborhood of Staten Island, New York. Performing to a packed house filled with friends and family alike, as well as neighborhood locals and members of other bands who would hit the stage later in the evening, they covered six classic tracks and had everyone singing along. They had a tight sound, and interacted with their adoring crowd throughout the night. If people weren’t familiar with the band before their set, they left that night as new fans.

While Brian C, Brian F, Connor, Ryan, and Dan hone their skills and work on original tracks, you can catch them covering the greats.

Their first set list included:

For Whom The Bell Tolls - Metallica

War Pigs - Black Sabbath

In Bloom - Nirvana

Bullet With Butterfly Wings - Smashing Pumpkins

Stacy’s Mom - Fountains of Wayne

Killing in the Name - Rage Against the Machine

I am a photographer based in New York City. I primarily capture live music, though I also love documenting cities and events. I look for beauty in the details. I studied at the School of Visual Arts for two years before leaving to pursue other education and received a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s, Gender, and Sexualities Studies from Hunter College in 2016. I have been published in numerous outlets such as Stencil, Jersey Beat, and Alternative Press. I also had a photograph featured in a national Ernie Ball campaign. I feel most at home when I'm at a concert and have been enjoying live music since I was 8 years old - with no plans to stop any time soon.
