ROLE MODEL Plays His First Show in Las Vegas

“I’m glad I didn’t skip Las Vegas.” The fans became a family at Role Model’s first show in Vegas at the House of Blues. I photographed Tucker in New York a year ago, and while it was a bigger venue then, the intimacy and dedication of the fans were even greater than it was then. A few songs in, he talked about being nervous to come to Vegas on tour because he didn’t know what to think. He wasn’t sure if it was his crowd, but after a heartfelt performance of “rx,” sitting on the stage in front of a room full of people who dearly love him and sang the entire song along with him, he shed a few tears and made sure we knew how happy he was that he stopped here. Seeing your favorite artists live is always special. Being in the same room with so many people who feel what you feel when you hear and sing these songs is a feeling you never forget. With an artist like Role Model, you feel welcomed, understood, and completely comfortable being who you are for the night. He sees his fans and makes sure to check in and interact like he’s friends with them because he really is. He built his name and artistry on community, and his live shows are the most beautiful representation of who he is.
