The Machinist Album Release for "All is Not Well"
On Friday July 8th, the extreme metal and hardcore band The Machinist from Queens, NY headlined a killer show for their latest album release for All Is Not Well at a venue in Brooklyn, NY known as The Meadows.
Plenty of great local NYC artists opened up for this album release featuring the likes of VENDETTA, ON SIGHT, Yak Mob, and JOHNNY BOOTH. Each set was filled with the energy you could only expect from a metal show in NYC, making it a night you wouldn’t forget.
The Machinist not only brought their A-Game, but they made sure the room wanted more. Little did the crowd know, it wasn’t just an album release; it was also a long awaited proposal of one of their members. When everyone had least expected it, the guitarist got his girlfriend Stacy on stage to pop the question. SHE SAID YES! Confetti came out of tubes as the whole room went WILD! It was a beautiful moment to witness and be able to capture. Even at a metal show, you never know what to expect but this was a moment I have never been more than happy to be a part of. Congratulations to the newly engaged couple, they looked so happy and words can’t express how thankful I am to have captured it happening for them.
I’d also like to take this moment to also add in that my friends in Johnny Booth had also completely killed it right before my friends in The Machinist had hit the stage. It had been far too long since I had last seen both these bands perform again. It was great to see them making sure the hardcore and metal scene is still alive here in NYC. In case you missed it, you can check out a previous interview I had done with Johnny Booth back in October here. Within the year, expect some brand new material from them as well.
Both of these bands have been working effortlessly the last handful of years to bring their fans new material to listen to and watch them perform live. I truthfully can’t express the amount of love, appreciation, and how proud I am of them because they never let what's been happening in the world stop them from continuing to perfect their craft. The metal scene is only going to keep thriving because of bands like these who stop at nothing, even if All Is Not Well in the world.
