The Meffs Drop ‘No Future’

The Meffs are a punk duo from Great Britain that has exploded onto the scene with great fury. Their passionate embrace of radical politics and high-octane live shows have brought the British punk scene back to its roots. The duo consists of Lily on vocals and guitar and Lewis on drums and backing vocals. Together these two pack a powerful punch to the gut.

Singer and songwriter Frank Turner, formerly of the post-hardcore band Million Dead, was so impressed by the energetic performances of The Meffs that he invited them to take the stage at his Lost Evening Festival. That wasn’t of Turner’s association with The Meffs as he would later produce their EP Broken Britain Pt. 1 released in 2022. Fans who loved the album will be excited to hear that The Meffs have just released Broken Britain Pt. 2 via Bottles to the Ground.

Anyone can write a record of love songs, but where’s the truth in that? The sequel to Broken Britain Pt.1 is out now on Bottles to the Ground. Produced by Frank Turner. Great songs, good friends, no rules. And yes, we really do have those accents
— said The Meffs in an official band statement

The Meffs also feature on the Bottle to the Ground compilation album Bottle Music for Broken People. The duo contributed the track, “No Future.” The song features politically aware lyrics from Lily advocating for social change and rebellion against oppressive systems over a melodic punk rock beat. The official music video for “No Future” shows the band doing what they do best, playing to a packed club and blasting their music to enthusiastic punks. British fans across the island will get to experience The Meffs firsthand when they go on tour promoting Broken Britain Pt. 2.
