The Wrecks Played a Scorcher in Mesa, AZ

Despite the sun being down, the infamous Arizona heat made its appearance at The Wrecks’ show at The Nile in Mesa, AZ, on July 21st. Fans partied the night away, packed into the venue, ignoring the heat and humidity. Thankfully the band had taken precautious measures, and six-hundred water bottles were distributed throughout the night. Mothe and Girlhouse got the crowd warmed up with incredible sets before The Wrecks took the stage.

By the time The Wrecks took the stage, fans had forgotten about the mild heat stroke that was no doubt creeping up on them, and they cheered so loud the room practically vibrated. Kicking off their set with “Out Of Style,” fans were immediately singing along and dancing with the band. With several jokes about the heat and humidity being made throughout the night, lead singer Nick Anderson made it clear to fans that their safety was important and that they should take a break if they were getting too hot. No one wants to pass out midshow. Playing classics like “Panic Vertigo,” “Freaking Out,” and “Fvck Somebody,” the band put on a great energetic set, keeping fans on their toes for their entire 90-minute set. If you missed them on the Better Than Ever Tour make sure to catch them on their newly announce Back & Better Than Ever Tour this fall!
