Toronto Band The Blues Emergency's Release Latest Single, "A Love Revolution"
The Blues Emergency, the Toronto-based blues rock band, has released a new single called, "A Love Revolution." The song is a guitar-heavy track that hits listeners hard with its positive message of unity and love. In many ways, it’s a modern protest song that despite its heaviness promotes a message of peace.
Such collaboration is a hallmark of The Blues Emergency. Since their debut in 2017 with the album The Machine, The Blues Emergency has utilized both an experimental attitude towards their music while adhering to old-school methods of recording. The band made note that they avoided the use of click track in their studio recording sessions. The Blue Emergency infuse their take on traditional blues music with elements of psychedelia and stoner rock. Influences that can be heard in their music include Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Stone Temple Pilots, Guns N’ Roses, and Rival Sons.
Despite The Machine lacking any extensive marketing campaign behind it, the album still managed to attract a growing cult following. The album reached over 50,000 streams on YouTube. The Blues Emergency became particularly popular with European fans. Since the debut album fans of The Blues Emergency who wanted to hear new music would have to follow the side projects of the individual members. Andy di Rugo would front the acoustic roots rock band Black Suit Devil. Emir Halilovic joined his bandmates, bassist John Anthony Brand and drummer Milan Pejcic, to form JEM Konnection and later play in Royalty & De Kingsmen.

The accompanying music video directed by Vincenzo Buggea has received over 15k views on YouTube. The band recently felt invigorated to record new material since new drummer Marshall Baglieri joined.
