Underoath Release “Lifeline (Drowning)”

The metalcore legends Underoath have released their newest single, “Lifeline (Drowning)”. They recently released the acoustic version of “Let Go”, which received acclaim from Revolver, Alternative Press, and Kerrang. Both songs will be included in their forthcoming album, which will be released in 2024. The tracks represent the band's new direction with unmatched creativity and innovative storytelling.

“Lifeline (Drowning)” is a cry for help… I feel like we’ve all been there, be it as simple as miscommunication or a full on toxic relationship - that very feeling that you cannot tread water like this any longer or you may end up drowning. We wanted to create a song centered around the melody that could still hold the energy of a full blown heavy song.
— Underoath
...[“Let Go”] sees the band nestling into their sweet spot of convulsive screamed verses and anthemic clean choruses...a cathartic, heavy anthem…
— Alternative Press
...heavy, riotous energy…
— Revolver

They have also announced summer tour dates, which will begin on July 5th at Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh to support Falling In Reverse. They will also be co-headlining with The Ghost Inside with support from We Came As Romans and Better Lovers. They will be making appearances at Inkcarceration, Ohio Is For Lovers, and Tennessee Is For Lovers.
